1 liter of milk, 1 yogurt and half a lemon are enough to make the best homemade cheese

  • 1 liter of whole milk
  • 1 cup of natural unsweetened yogurt
  • 1/2 lemon
  • Salt to taste

  1. Pour the milk into a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Cook for 15 minutes, then add the lemon juice and yogurt.
  3. Slowly stir the mixture for a few seconds, then turn off the gas and let it sit for at least 3 hours.
  4. After this time, place the cotton cloth in a strainer over the mold.
  5. Pass the mixture through a sieve to separate the cheese from the whey.
  6. Return the mixture to the refrigerator and let it sit for 30 minutes.
  7. After this time, we add a little salt and put it in the refrigerator for another 8 hours.
  8. At this stage it is already possible to consume this delicious homemade cheese.
