Washing dishes is one of the most boring household chores, especially because of leftover food or grease. If you don’t like  washing dishes either  , you surely know some methods to do it faster without having to do a perfect cleaning. However, over time dirt will begin to adhere to surfaces and become embedded.

Cleaning  pots and pans  is very important not only to maintain their effectiveness, but also to protect our health. Bits of embedded food debris  and grease can end up in our food.

Below we suggest  4 effective methods to recover burnt pans  and make them like new again.

Coarse salt and aluminum foil.

This method is recommended for iron pots and pans and is among the most effective for removing food debris and grease without damaging their surfaces. You need a tablespoon of coarse salt and some aluminum foil.

Sprinkle the tablespoon of salt over the surface of the pan and let it rest. Cut pieces of aluminum foil, roll them into balls, and use them to rub the burnt parts of the pan. The aluminum foil will darken. Finally, wash and dry as usual.

Baking soda and lemon

Pour two tablespoons of baking soda over the surface of the mold you want to recover. Cut a lemon in half and rub one on the surface.

Let it sit for 5 minutes and then rub in the other half of the lemon. Finally, rinse and wash as usual. Make sure to dry well.

potato and salt

Cut a raw potato in half and then pour a tablespoon of coarse salt over the burned surface of the pan or pot you want to salvage.

Rub the potato on the surface in circular motions for about 3 minutes. Finally, clean as usual and apply a drop of olive oil. This last operation will protect the pan from the acidic effect of the potato.

White vinegar and baking soda.

Pour 120 ml of white vinegar over the burnt pan and leave for 5 minutes. Add 250 ml of water, bring to the boil along with the vinegar, then remove from the heat and add the baking soda.

An effervescent reaction will occur that will last a few seconds. Once you’re done, use a stiff sponge to clean the entire surface of the pan. Finally, rinse normally.

Now that you know how  to recover burnt pans  , try one of these methods to return them to their original state.
