Who doesn’t like to always have a scented bathroom , even immediately after using it. If you too rely on chemical-laden air fresheners, you’ve probably wondered if it’s possible to achieve the same results using only natural ingredients .
The use of industrial air fresheners exposes our health to risks. Most of them contain volatile compounds that, in the long term, can cause respiratory problems or worsen them if they already exist. Dichlorobenzene and phthalates are just some of these substances, with which effects such as hormonal imbalances, allergies and asthma have been linked.
Below we explain how to perfume the bathroom using only natural products, thus protecting our health and the environment, without giving up a constant and tasty aroma.
Clean the bathroom with lemon . This not only helps eliminate bad odors, but also mold stains. Cut a lemon in half and rub it on the bathroom surfaces, then use a cloth to pick up the residue.
Cinnamon and Vanilla . To prepare an air freshener, boil 200 ml of vinegar, 200 ml of water, a little vanilla extract, some cloves and two cinnamon sticks. Pour into a spray bottle and spray throughout the bathroom.
Cotton with essential oils . Essential oils are excellent for neutralizing bad odors. Pour a few drops of the essential oils of your choice on a cotton ball (we recommend tangerine and lemon), then place it in a strategic place in the bathroom.
Fabric softener in towels . Washing your hands frequently does not allow the towels to dry properly, favoring the accumulation of moisture and therefore giving way to the proliferation of fungi, bacteria and germs. Pour some fabric softener into a spray bottle filled with water and spray it regularly on the towels.
Essential oil on the bath brush . Pour a few drops of an essential oil of your choice onto the toilet brush. This will help prevent bad odors and perfume the toilet with each use.
Softener in the toilet bowl . Oddly enough, pouring fabric softener into your toilet bowl helps keep it smelling delicious every time you flush.
Aromatic soaps . They give off a pleasant fragrance that will reach every corner of the bathroom, in addition to being very attractive and very decorative.
