An ingredient that should never be missing at home is   bay leaf   !

This plant with   bright green leaves   has a very pleasant and fresh smell that is used in different areas of the environment.

Not only does it represent the   plant of wisdom   , associated with achieving a milestone like graduation, but it also has a beneficial and relaxing smell!

Let’s see together   all the ways to use bay leaves at home!

For colored sheets

Did you know that laurel is an   excellent ally for colored fabrics?

Okay, yes! Our grandmothers teach us that it is fantastic   to revive the colors of fabrics   by giving up all those chemicals and contaminants.

You need to put about   7 bay leaves to infuse   in a saucepan with   2 tablespoons of baking soda.

When it starts to boil,   turn off the heat and pour everything into the basin   with warm water, soak the rags to be treated inside and wait a few hours.

Rinse well   , then wash in the washing machine… they will have recovered their fantastic aroma!

scented kitchen

Having a   kitchen that is always aromatic  is very important to ensure that food odors do not seep into every corner.

Its use is very simple, you will have to put   4 bay leaves to infuse in a saucepan   , heat until it boils, then turn off the heat.

At this point, you can   leave the pan on the hob   so that the smell spreads everywhere, also eliminating odors.

Alternatively, pour   into a container as desired   and place on furniture. I advise you to do it even during cooking to capture all the smells!

In the bathroom

Laurel is a   fantastic plant that can also be used in the bathroom   , do you know the twig trick?

Well, it’s as simple as that! You will need   to take a sprig of bay leaf and place it in the shower   , near the shower head, but taking care that the drops do not fall on the leaves.

When you shower, all   the water vapor will pass through the leaves   and a fantastic aroma will be spread that will linger in the bathroom for a long time!

In addition, taking a shower with a bay leaf scent also has beneficial and relaxing properties!

Have you ever vacuumed?

Some   bay leaves in the vacuum cleaner   are a great strategy to perfume the entire house at no cost!

You just have to put some   chopped bay leaves inside the sachet   , you can choose the quantity depending on the intensity of the fragrance you want.

Once this step is done, you will see that when you use the device,   all the smell will remain in the rooms   of the house!

When after a few days you feel that the smell is gone, it is time to change the sheets or check the vacuum cleaner bag.

Wardrobe bags

Wardrobe bags are   an inexpensive, quick and effective way   to add long-lasting fragrance to any garment!

They can be made with different natural methods, but one of the most appreciated is, of course, our beloved laurel.

So if you want to smell the fragrance of this wonderful plant when you open the closet, just put   some leaves in a breathable bag.

You can also make   one for each corner of the cabinet   to intensify the aroma!

Outside on the balcony

The last thing we see with the laurel is   on the balcony!

This plant has many resources and is   excellent to put outdoors for several reasons   , let’s see the most important ones!

First of all, the laurel has very bright and fantastic green leaves, so making a   composition with the leaves   that even looks like a wreath is a good solution   to beautify   the balcony.

Then,   the leaves purify the air, making it cleaner   , so it is always good to counteract the pollution that comes from outside.

Additionally, one of the main reasons why people put bay leaves on the balcony is because it keeps   insects away   , creating a real barrier!

Do not use bay leaf in case of allergy or hypersensitivity.
