This easy Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole is a family favorite, combining seasoned ground beef, crispy bacon, melted cheese, and a flaky crescent roll crust into one delicious, comforting dish. It brings all the flavors of a classic cheeseburger to your dinner table without the fuss.

  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 6-8 servings

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (10.75 oz) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp yellow mustard
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 (8 oz) can refrigerated crescent rolls
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
Optional toppings: sliced pickles, chopped tomatoes, extra bacon bits, sesame seeds

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Step 2: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion. Cook until the beef is no longer pink and the onion is softened. Drain any excess grease. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
Step 3: Stir in the condensed cream of mushroom soup, milk, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper into the ground beef mixture. Bring to a simmer, then remove from heat. Stir in half of the crumbled bacon and 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese.
Step 4: Press the crescent roll dough into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, pinching seams together to form a crust. If desired, you can create a lattice top with the crescent rolls as well.
Step 5: Spread the ground beef mixture evenly over the crescent roll crust. Top with the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and the 1 cup of Monterey Jack cheese. Sprinkle the remaining crumbled bacon over the cheese.
Step 6: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crescent roll crust is golden brown. Let the casserole stand for 5-10 minutes before serving. Garnish with optional toppings if desired. Enjoy your delicious Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole!

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of smoked paprika to the ground beef mixture. You can also mix in some chopped pickles or tomatoes directly into the beef mixture before baking for a true 'burger all-in-one' experience. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
