Parsley in a bowl
Fresh parsley has a delicious aroma that’s impossible to explain. Defined as the king of aromas, this ingredient is rich in properties and benefits for the body. It helps make a dish delicious, or tickles the taste buds. When you want to keep it even for a month, what should you do? Chefs reveal their tips.

How to keep parsley fresh
Before discovering the bowl method of storing fresh parsley, there are other quick and easy methods to try.

One clever method is to place the herb in a damp, unprinted towel. It is then packed in an airtight bag and placed in the fridge. A unique method for keeping the leaves intact and not drying out.

It can also be stored in the freezer. How does it work? First of all, wash and dry it well, so that it’s always ready to use. Cut the parsley into thin pieces or chop it directly using the chopper.

Parsley bowl method: fresh for a long time
The most widely used method is certainly that of the chefs, which relies on keeping the ingredient fresh for over a month. First, wash and dry the parsley well, then chop it finely in a bowl. When the bowl is full, you can pour it into a glass jar with an airtight seal.

At this stage, you can store it in a cool, dry place – not the fridge – for up to a month. Parsley can also be stored in other ways.

This method is renowned for retaining the moisture in the leaves so they don’t dry out.
