The ultimate creamy, tangy, and slightly sweet dipping sauce inspired by the classic American West drive-in staple. Perfect for fries, burgers, and more!

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 1 cup

Ingredients

1/2 cup high-quality mayonnaise
1/4 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon dill pickle juice
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

Step 1: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise and ketchup. Whisk together until the mixture is a uniform light pink color and completely smooth.
Step 2: Add the dill pickle juice, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to the bowl.
Step 3: Whisk the mixture vigorously for about 30 seconds to ensure all the spices are evenly distributed throughout the Fry Sauce Recipe.
Step 4: Taste the sauce and adjust the salt or pickle juice if desired. If you prefer a sweeter sauce, add a tiny pinch of sugar.
Step 5: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
Step 6: Serve chilled alongside your favorite crispy fries or as a spread on burgers.

Notes

For a spicy version, add 1/2 teaspoon of Sriracha or a dash of cayenne pepper. Keep refrigerated for up to 1 week.
