Fertilizer performs several functions. In essence, it mainly serves to provide plants with all the nutrients they need to grow and develop harmoniously. Indeed, over time, the soil tends to lose the necessary nutrients, which must be replenished.

On the market you can find an infinite number of fertilizers, each suitable for different types of plants, whether green or flowering, for apartments or for gardens and vegetable patches. However,  the best fertilizer to use,  both for the plants themselves and for the environment in general, is undoubtedly manure ,  of completely natural origin. There are also many variations  of the latter: here are the main and most used.

Types of manure: here is the most suitable for your plants

Manure  is  the most complete and balanced natural fertilizer that exists. It contains  nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, mineral salts and all the micro-organisms  essential to plant life. Depending on where it comes from, manure is suitable for one or another type of plant.

The best are those:

  • of  horse : it is the most balanced of all and therefore perfect for both flowering and fruiting plants
  • of  cows and cattle : it is the lightest and the richest in nitrogen. It is usually placed in the soil in liquid form to provide it with the nutrients it needs to keep its composition intact.
  • of  hens, chickens and sheep : very rich in substances like no other, it makes plants grow quickly and healthy and lush
  • Slurry : this is the manure with the highest percentage of moisture. Nitrogen is its most present component. As it may be too strong for the roots of some plants, it should always be inserted deep into the ground.

As you can see with vegetables and gardens,  there is no reason to resort to chemical fertilizers  when nature itself gives us the best of all. Depending on the type of plants/vegetables you have, get advice on the best manure and in no time you will be able to see how effective it is.
