Here is the most effective way to clean the sofa using a cover and a cloth

When it comes to cleaning a mattress or a sofa, you immediately want to turn around and put it off again until I don’t know when! Indeed, these objects are particularly tiring to clean because of their heaviness and the fact that they must be returned to be refurbished.

Luckily, there are several methods that make the process easier and save you from spending an entire day drying out your mattress or couch!

Today we are going to see the lid method to clean sofas and mattresses quickly and efficiently!

For the couch

This method is ideal if you have a sofa that is not removable because it will save you a lot of time by keeping the fabric clean and free of dust or unpleasant odors!

The tools

All you need is

  • 1 tablespoon liquid Marseille soap
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • Water
  • The lid of a saucepan

The degreasing action and the fragrance of Marseille soap are ideal for the most difficult or delicate fabrics. If you don’t have liquid soap, but you have the bar soap, melt 1 tablespoon in a double boiler.

Procedure

Just fill a bowl with lukewarm water and dissolve the Marseille soap in it. Then add the baking soda until everything becomes a single solution.

At this point, you should dip a fairly large cloth into the bowl, leave it damp, and wrap it around the lid.

Taking the handle of the cover, pass it over the sofa, then rinse the cloth, wring it well and pass it a second time. Let it dry and you’re done!

For the mattress

As already mentioned, the cover method is also ideal for the mattress and takes very little time!

The tools

In this case too, you need products that you always have on hand:

  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide
  • 1 tablespoon liquid Marseille soap
  • 6 drops of lavender essential oil

The combination of the above elements will be a real cleansing bomb, and you will see that you will not be able to do without this trick afterward!

If you don’t have essential oils at home (lavender is just an indication, you can choose the scent you want) or if you don’t like the smell on your mattress, you can also omit them.

Procedure

You must put all the ingredients in a bowl filled with lukewarm water and mix. Then dip the cloth in the basin, for the first passage the cloth must be more humid, then make other passages with the well-wrung cloth. If there are stains on the mattress, you can use a soft sponge and scrub the dirt. Let it dry and you’re done!
