Lemon peels in oil: an ancient remedy
Lemon peels can also be used to create an oil, called oleolite. It is an entirely natural remedy which serves to restore vitality to the body, but also unprecedented well-being.

In particular, oleolite has its origins in Antiquity and can be prepared not only with lemon zest but also with different vegetables to add to vegetable oil. The lemon peels are left to macerate in olive oil . Thus, the benefits of the oils contained in the dandruff (or in the plants that you choose to leave to macerate) are explored, combined with the hydrating and preservative power of extra virgin olive oil.

In fact, the oil fulfills the function of a solvent, capable of dissolving all the fat-soluble substances that plants are rich in. Extraction can take place when these elements are cold macerated.

The properties of lemon and its aromas are associated with the mixture of antioxidant substances contained in extra virgin olive oil, notoriously rich in polyphenols.

The benefits brought by oil to our body can be numerous. Indeed, it can be used as a tonic , it can stimulate venous return . Additionally, when used as a massage oil on wet extremities, circulation is boosted.

How to prepare lemon oil: procedure and tips
Lemon oil can be considered a massage oil with different functions, you can also mix salt to create a scrub. It can also refresh the eye area, lighten dark circles and bags under the eyes, allowing microcirculation. Your eyes and face will have clearer lines and a fresher appearance.

To prepare it, you will need:

lemon zest at the rate of 100 grams
EVO oil, 100 grams
As a general rule, lemon zest should contain exactly half the amount of oil, proportionally. The lemons must be cut into thin slices , the skin must be kept and the white part removed. The skins should be left to dry for about two days in the open air or, better yet, in the sun.

The oil should represent half of the peels obtained. The dosage shown is an example of preparation. If you want to increase the quantities, you should always pay attention to the proportion of the two ingredients. Drying prevents mold from forming. Next, the lemon peels will be placed in a previously sterilized glass container. At this point, you will pour the oil which should completely cover the skins . The bottle will be shaken frequently to ensure that the skins always remain covered in oil.
