Floor cleaning
There are many techniques for having clean tiles. The less experienced are satisfied with a damp cloth with special detergents but to obtain an excellent finish, it is necessary to use products which are not necessarily chemical but also natural.
For example, to degrease tiles, you can prepare a mixture of ammonia and water yourself. The solution you are going to create will have a strong pungent smell, do not breathe it in for a long time.
Use a sponge, wear protective gloves and start cleaning your surfaces with the product you have prepared. Then dry everything with a clean cloth. Once this step has been completed, it is time to move on to the most delicate phase: cleaning the joints.
It is the cross and the banner of all homes and above all the dilemma of all women: how to clean the joints? Indeed, a large part of the dirt accumulates precisely in these joints between the tiles.
Again, we come to your rescue. There’s a technique used by housekeepers that will get you clean joints in minutes. Do you know how to proceed? To perform this technique, you will need water and powdered mortar.
Take a basin in which you will put about 100 ml of water. Then add 3 tablespoons of powdered mortar and stir the mixture to obtain a solid, almost elastic solution.
With this solution, clean the floor as if you were going to wash it, making sure that the mixture created reaches the inside of the joints. Once you have done this, wash the floor normally with the products you usually use: you will see that your joints will be white and without any dirt. And you, did you know this method?
But to get clean floors and joints, there are also other methods you can use. Do you know the newspaper technique, for example? Get some sheets of magazines or newspapers, dip them in a mixture of water and ammonia and start rubbing them on your tiles: they will become shiny in no time.
Another technique for cleaning tile grout is to create a solution with apple vinegar. Just mix half a glass of water with half a glass of apple vinegar and rub the joints for 10 minutes.
After this time, remove the used mixture with boiling water. Baking soda can also help you get shiny, clean tiles: add two tablespoons to a cup of hot water and clean the tiles with this solution. It’s said, it’s done! In a few simple gestures, you will find tiles and grout like new!
