Ingredients
1 lb scallops
1 tsp olive oil
Kosher salt
Black pepper
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon garlic minced
1 pinch red pepper flakes
2 teaspoons honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup dry white wine
1 tablespoon parsley chopped
2 lemon wedges
Instructions
Pat the scallops dry with paper towels.
Add oil to a pan and heat over medium high heat until smoking.
Salt and pepper the scallops and add them to the hot pan.
Cook without moving for 2 minutes.
Flip the scallops over.
Add butter to the pan.
Add garlic, red pepper flakes, honey, and lemon juice.
Baste the scallops with the pan sauce.
Once opaque, remove the scallops and add the white wine to the pan.
Whisk to combine and pour over the scallops.
Garnish with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
