Ingredients
6 cups (1.5 liters) 100% unsweetened cranberry juice, chilled
3 cups (720ml) pineapple juice, chilled
3 cups (720ml) orange juice, chilled
4 cups (1 liter) ginger ale or sparkling cider, chilled (added just before serving)
1-2 cups vodka, white rum, or spiced rum (optional, for alcoholic version)
1 large orange, thinly sliced, for garnish
2 limes, thinly sliced, for garnish
1 cup fresh cranberries, for garnish
Optional garnishes: fresh rosemary sprigs, mint sprigs, cinnamon sticks, star anise
Instructions
Step 1: Combine the chilled cranberry juice, pineapple juice, and orange juice in a large punch bowl or beverage dispenser. Stir gently to combine.
Step 2: If making an alcoholic punch, add your chosen spirits (vodka, white rum, or spiced rum) to the juice mixture. Stir gently. Remember to clearly label if serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions.
Step 3: Just before serving, slowly pour in the chilled ginger ale or sparkling cider to maintain effervescence. Stir very gently.
Step 4: Garnish the punch with fresh orange slices, lime wheels, and a generous handful of fresh cranberries. Add optional rosemary sprigs, mint, cinnamon sticks, or star anise for extra festive flair.
Step 5: To keep the punch cold without dilution, use a large ice ring made from frozen juice and fruit, or add large ice cubes just before serving.
Notes
For best results, ensure all liquid ingredients are thoroughly chilled before mixing. Taste and adjust sweetness if desired. Create an ice ring with frozen fruit to keep the punch cold without diluting it.
