Why do you have to throw soap down the toilet? The ingenious trick that makes life easier

Cleaning the toilet is a tedious task. Yellowed glasses, calcified bowls and bad smells are, among other things, the consequences of not regular care. To keep the toilet clean, you can use a product that we all have in our household: soap. Find out how to use it in the toilet for a clean bowl.

Black soap, liquid soap or dishwashing liquid, you can choose the household product that suits you to clean and clean the toilet bowl in a simple and economical way.

To clean, descale and loosen the toilet bowl, you can use the soap in 3 different ways.

  • Toilet cleaner with soap

To effectively clean the toilet bowl and remove bad odors, take a bar of soap and cut it into pieces with a knife. Place the chips in a pot filled with water  and bring your mixture to a boil. When the soap shavings have melted, remove the pan from the heat  and allow your concoction to cool. Add a few drops of tea tree essential oil,  known for its antifungal and antibacterial properties, to your mixture. Put your solution in a spray bottle and spray it on the sides of the bowl, then scrub with a toilet brush.

  • Toilet tablets with liquid soap to clean the bowl

In addition to black soap, you can also use liquid soap to clean your toilets by preparing toilet tablets that are  used to clean the bowl. To do this, mix 30 g of citric acid, 130 g of baking soda and a few drops of an essential oil of your choice in a container. Mix well with a fork and then add a teaspoon of liquid soap. Blend until smooth  and  pour into an ice cube tray. Then let the tamp stand overnight. The next day, remove the pellets from the mold  and store in an airtight jar. To clean the toilet bowl, all you have to do is put a tablet in it and leave it overnight. Then scrub the walls with a toilet brush and flush the toilet.

Citric acid effectively removes traces of limescale in the toilet, while baking soda is ideal for removing stains and bad odors from the bowl.

  • Black soap for cleaning the toilet bowl

Natural and biodegradable black soap is an effective cleaning product  for cleaning the whole house,  especially the toilets. To do this, mix a teaspoon of liquid black soap and two tablespoons of white vinegar in a liter of water. The latter is also a very effective natural cleaning agent for disinfecting surfaces,  eliminating stains and bad odors. Pour the solution into a spray bottle and spray it onto the sides of the toilet bowl. Then use a toilet brush   to remove stubborn stains from the sides and bottom of the bowl. Note that you  can also use this black soap and white vinegar mixture to clean and disinfect the toilet seat. To do this, moisten it with this solution and rub it with a microfiber sponge. Then dry the bezel with a clean cloth.

  • Dishwashing liquid to clean the toilet bowl

Thanks to its degreasing properties,  dishwashing detergent can also be used to clean toilets. To do this, pour a small amount of this product into the toilet bowl and scrub the walls with a toilet brush. Then flush the toilet.

You can also make a toilet bowl cleaner by mixing two tablespoons of dish soap, three cups of white vinegar, and one cup of Epsom salts in a bottle. Cap the bottle tightly  and shake to dissolve the Epsom salt. Pour a third of the solution into the bowl and leave for 30 minutes. Then scrub the walls with a toilet brush to remove stains and flush. Epsom salt, also called magnesium sulfate, is a mild abrasive ideal  for loosening toilet bowls and walls  without damaging or scratching them.

Another trick is to mix ¼ cup dish soap, ¼ cup baking soda, and ¼ cup water. Mix thoroughly and pour the preparation into the bowl. Let the solution sit overnight and the next day scrub the bowl with a toilet brush to remove stains and dirt . Then flush the toilet.
