It is not easy to get    clothes that are always scented    in winter, since we often end up with   a bad smell   due to excess humidity.

In fact, it may happen that you smell   musty smell   on hanging clothes and you only know how to remove it by washing them again.

But you should know that   you can remove them without washing them again   ! As? With these   DIY clothes fresheners   capable of not only absorbing the   smell but also perfuming them   ! Let’s see together how to do it!

With baking soda

The first remedy is to use baking soda, an ingredient known for its    anti-odor properties   . So equip yourself with:

  • 500 ml of distilled water
  • 25 drops    essential oil    (choose your favorite)
  • 2 tablespoons baking soda

Start by dissolving the baking soda in the water, mix well, and then add       your chosen drops of essential oil . At this point, pour the mixture into a spray bottle and spray   the mixture on the hanging clothes   and voila: what a scent!

If, on the one hand,    baking soda    will help    absorb the musty smell,   on the other hand, essential oils can provide a   pleasant aroma to fabrics   .

As for   essential oils,    you can use the perfume you prefer, however we suggest that you prefer lavender or tea tree essential oil, since they will not only perfume your clothes, but will also have an anti-inflammatory and bacterial action     However,    rose, lemon or mint essential oils are also recommended. As if that weren’t enough, this mixture can also be used   to freshen clothes that smell like smoke!

In addition to baking soda, vinegar can also be an ingredient capable of neutralizing bad odors and, therefore, can be used on freshly washed clothes. Furthermore, it is also considered a blessing in    removing musty smell from bathrobes and towels!

The process of   making this deodorant   is actually very simple, as you will need:

  • 500 ml of distilled water
  • 100 ml wine vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons of vodka
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 20 drops of your favorite essential oil.

Then pour the distilled water into an old spray bottle, then add the wine vinegar and vodka    and   stir the mixture. At this point, add the    baking soda    and the    drops of essential oil    you have chosen, trying to prefer the aromas also recommended in the previous remedy or the more   lemony ones    such as lemon, orange, lavender, etc.

Finally, spray    the mixture thus obtained on your hanging clothes and once dry you will see what a perfume!

With citric acid

Finally, let’s move on to one last remedy that can remove the musty smell from washed clothes:   citric acid   , which is an eco-friendly compound derived from citrus. This ingredient is also known for its ability to   soften clothes without the use of commercially available fabric softeners!

Therefore, simply pour    150 grams    of    citric acid    into    a jar containing a liter    of   distilled water    and then add    15 drops    of    essential oil   to obtain a more intense fragrance.

At this point, pour the resulting mixture into a    spray bottle    or    mist    and your laundry deodorizer is ready to use!

We recommend that you always check the washing and production labels before following the suggested remedies.
