3 Grandma’s Tips for Covering Gray Hair Without Using Dye

Gray hair is one of the first signs of aging and, although we usually try to hide it using dyes or other similar products, more and more women and men are choosing to wear it with enough pride to become a fashion.

However, if you rely on dyes to hide  gray hair  , below we list 3 equally effective natural alternatives, which allow us to achieve similar results but without damaging the hair and without spending a lot.

Indeed, in the long term, commercial dyes can weaken and damage hair, thus accelerating its loss.

Coconut and lemon

Mix some coconut oil with 3 tablespoons of lemon juice and apply it on gray hair.

Let the mixture sit for an hour, then wash your hair as usual.

Henna

It is prepared by shredding the leaves of the Lawsonia Inermis shrub and is used as a natural coloring agent. It can also be used to cover gray hair.

Mix 200 ml of water with 75 g of henna (increase the quantity if you have very long hair).

Apply to all hair and leave for a few minutes. Finally, wash your hair normally.

Ivy extract

Ivy leaves are excellent for blocking gray hair. From them we obtain an extract of very dark color, ideal for covering gray hair.

Simmer 45 grams of ivy leaves in a liter of water. Once the leaves have softened, remove from the heat, let cool and drain.

Apply to all hair at least 3 times a week.
