4 tricks with white vinegar to have a clean bathroom like novo

Cleaning the bathroom is not always pleasant: between tartar, limescale and black mold, we find it difficult to shine everything, without much result. Find out how to make this task less restrictive with white vinegar. A natural and economical ingredient with disinfectant properties, which helps overcome dirt and scale in our bathroom.

The bathroom is a room that we use a lot and that is why it gets dirty quickly. Humidity in the room favors the development of mold, and hard water limestone lodges everywhere in our sanitary facilities. These 4 tips will allow you to effectively clean your toilets with white vinegar, for a clean and spotless bathroom.

1. White vinegar to clean encrusted toilets

Water is the source of the problems that build up in the toilet bowl. In fact, this water is rich in minerals such as calcium and magnesium, responsible for the appearance of tartar. When water stagnates in the container, it leads to the formation of scale that can take on different colors: yellow, orange or even brown.

To descale toilet bowls and destroy bacteria residing there, pour a cup of white vinegar into the bowl and let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes. Then scrub with a clean toilet brush to remove dirt and limescale deposits and then flush.

2. White vinegar to shine tiles

Over time, bathroom tiles lose their shine and become dull due to dirt. White vinegar will help get those tiles clean and shiny again.

For this you will need

  • A cup of white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • a spray bottle
  • A clean microfiber cloth

Mix white vinegar with water in the sprayer and spray your opaque tiles. Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes and wipe away any dirt that has come off the tiles with the microfiber cloth. Rinse and wipe again to shine these tiles.

3. White vinegar for the shower wall

Lime stains and soap residue quickly dirty the shower screen, and cleaning them is not always easy. In this case, use white vinegar combined with baking soda.

Pour a glass of hot water into a spray bottle and add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar. Make a paste with baking soda and a little water and spread it on the shower wall. Then spray the water and vinegar mixture. Let sit for 15 minutes, then wipe the cabin with a clean sponge. Rinse the wall with clean water and wipe it with a dry cloth.

Repeat this operation once a week to keep your shower cabin clean.

You can also take certain precautions to prevent traces of tartar from appearing again quickly. To do this, after each shower, be sure   to remove any debris and traces of water with a squeegee, in order to dry the screen well and thus delay the formation of limescale.

4. White vinegar to disinfect the sink

Sinks should not be overlooked as they also harbor bacteria and lime deposits. To clean and disinfect them, you will need

  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • Lemon juice
  • an absorbent paper
  • a clean sponge

First sprinkle the baking soda on the sponge and scrub your sinks to remove the dirt and bacteria lodged there, and then rinse with clean water.

Then use white vinegar to descale the taps because, in addition to being a good disinfectant and antibacterial, white vinegar is also anti-limescale.

To do this, mix white vinegar with lemon juice in a container, and soak a paper towel with this liquid. Wrap your lime stained faucets with this paper and let them sit overnight. The next day, remove the paper towel and scrub well with a toothbrush to remove any limescale.

If these persistent traces still persist, repeat this operation for several days. This trick can also be used to remove lime deposits from the shower head.
