For this recipe, you will need 1 kg of watermelon rind. Here are the detailed steps for its preparation:

Cut the watermelon into pieces and remove the green part;
The remaining part of the crust will be cut into pieces;
Put everything in a large saucepan and pour boiling water;
Bake for 50 minutes in a hot oven preheated to 200°C;
Once the time has elapsed, remove the pan from the oven and pour the container into a large strainer.

Take a saucepan and pour 4 glasses of granulated sugar;
Add 3 glasses of watermelon rind juice;
Add the spices, specifically 6 cloves;
Cook over low heat until the mixture thickens;
Add the juice of half a lemon and half a tablespoon of butter;
Continue with the cooked watermelon rind;
Cook for one hour over low heat;
Once the time has passed, transfer the mixture to a jar and store in the refrigerator.
