Ingredients
1 package (6 oz) Blue Raspberry or Berry Blue Gelatin
2 cups boiling water
2 cups cold water
1 package gummy fish or sea creatures
1/2 cup rainbow Nerds candy or crushed graham crackers
Clear plastic or glass cups
Instructions
Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine the blue gelatin powder with 2 cups of boiling water. Stir for at least 2 minutes until the powder is completely dissolved.
Step 2: Stir in 2 cups of cold water to the mixture. Allow the liquid to cool to room temperature.
Step 3: Place about 1 tablespoon of Nerds candy or crushed graham crackers at the bottom of each clear cup to represent the sea floor.
Step 4: Carefully pour the blue gelatin mixture into each cup, filling them about 3/4 of the way full. Place the cups in the refrigerator for 45-60 minutes until the gelatin is partially set (thick but not solid).
Step 5: Once the gelatin is thickened, use a toothpick or spoon to push gummy fish into the gelatin so they appear to be swimming. Return the cups to the refrigerator for another 2-3 hours until completely firm.
Step 6: Serve chilled and enjoy your beautiful Edible Aquarium Jell-o Cups!
Notes
For the best results, wait until the jello is the consistency of egg whites before adding the fish so they don’t sink.
