Granite and marble floors: how to make them very shiny with a natural detergent

If you are also lucky enough to have   marble or granite floors   in your home, you know how difficult they are to polish. No matter how strong and robust they are, these types of floors require specific care so as not to lose their shine and permanently damage them.

In fact, some products can make   marble or granite floors   dull, or even make them more likely to absorb permanent stains. Choosing the right products to   degrease and polish granite and marble floors   is essential to maintaining their beautiful appearance.

Marble and granite are two porous materials and, therefore, delicate. Strong products should not be applied and under no circumstances should they be left on the surfaces for too long. Usually just wash them with mild soap and water. Below we list some   tips for polishing marble and granite   .

If soap and water are not enough, you can wipe with a cloth soaked in a solution of 50% water and 50% vinegar: the latter is capable of removing any type of stain.

Another effective method is to pour the juice of one lemon and a tablespoon of 70% alcohol into a bucket full of water and use the solution to clean the marble or granite floor.

To   polish marble and granite   you can use a solution composed of 3 tablespoons of baking soda and a glass of water. Mix well and use a cloth to wipe the solution over the entire surface, let it sit for a few hours and then rinse with warm water.

Finally, apply classic liquid wax to return marble or granite to its original look and shine for days.
