The glove compartment: a refrigerator in the car
When buying a new car, many people forget to consult the owner’s manual. And that’s a mistake, because it contains important instructions on how to use it. If you pay attention, you’ll know that the glove box is also refrigerated. At least most newer models offer this feature.
In fact, this system is based on air conditioning: when you start the car and drive off, the air enters directly into the glove box. Therefore, this function can be very useful for preserving certain foods that defrost quickly, especially in hot weather (ice cream, frozen cakes or chocolates), but also for keeping drinks or medicines cold. A very useful function in especially high temperatures and during long trips. Of course, if your car doesn’t have this option, you can always resort to the good old cooler bag.
