How to degrease, disinfect and perfume the dishwasher using the glass method

The dishwasher is perhaps one of our favorite household appliances and saves us from one of the most boring and difficult household chores, namely washing the dishes. Knowing that you can get very clean dishes with just the push of a button, especially during a big dinner, is truly a relief.

This is exactly why you should return the favor and clean the dishwasher thoroughly on a regular basis. This also improves the effectiveness of the device.

Food residue and grease accumulate in the dishwasher, which can cause bad smells over time and reduce its effectiveness. Before resorting to industrial products, consider using the following glass method to thoroughly clean your dishwasher .

Putting the method into practice is really very simple. We start by spreading some baking soda over the entire surface of the dishwasher.

Make sure to put baking soda on the floor and shelves of the dishwasher, but also on the cutlery tray. Half a glass of baking soda should be enough to cover the entire surface, but you can add more if necessary.

After dusting the dishwasher with baking soda, fill a jar to the brim with white vinegar and place it in the middle of the top rack of the dishwasher.

Now it’s time to start a rinse cycle and wait for the baking soda and white vinegar to do their job and thoroughly degrease, disinfect, and deodorize the dishwasher .

Once the rinse cycle is finished, all that’s left is the glass of water. The dishwasher is now very clean and shiny, grease and limescale have disappeared and it smells clean.

Use the glass method to wash the dishwasher at least once a month to always have a clean and powerful appliance.
