How to make homemade garlic powder in easy steps

Garlic is a plant whose bulb is widely used in cooking. This bulb is divided into several parts that we call teeth. These plants are in the same family as onion, chives, and chives. It comes from Asia and its consumption has spread throughout the world.

A form of garlic, and perhaps not so well known, is black garlic, which is nothing more than the traditional white garlic placed in a source of sea water and therefore fermented and which has the characteristics of being softer, more tender and with less smell than the traditional one. But whether white or black, what we use most is garlic powder, which will give an excellent flavor to any culinary dish.

But to use it now, if we have not bought it,   what better than to do it with our own hands.

We will guide you step by step with a video so you can prepare a large batch of garlic powder right away.

Ingredients:

  •  2 or 3 heads of garlic
  • a good knife
  • butter paper
  • A mixer

Process:

  1. As a first step, you will grab each head and   separate the teeth.
  2. Once you have the cloves of all your garlic,   with a small incision at each end you will proceed to peel them   , it is very simple.
  3. When you have finished peeling all the garlic cloves, with the knife you will proceed to   cut them all into small slices, trying to make them all more or less equal.
  4. When you are finished, prepare a   baking dish that you will line with parchment paper.
  5. Turn the   oven on to 150 degrees.
  6. Place the garlic slices inside your plate, trying to separate them from each other.
  7. Now   put the dish in the oven and leave everything for an hour.
  8. When you take the dish out of the oven you will see that   all the garlic has been toasted.
  9. Now we will put the toasted cloves in the blender glass and crush them, but in ice crusher mode.
  10. When we have finished the process,   using a strainer we will sift the contents of the glass and we will see that only what has been crushed from our garlic falls into the bowl.
  11. It’s time to put the garlic powder in a jar and start using it right away.
