The most effective way to remove bad smells from the sink

If there’s  a bad smell in your kitchen  , it’s probably coming from the sink. When we wash the dishes, some leftover food ends up in the drain. Over time, this residue builds up and sticks to the pipes,  causing a bad smell  .

This happens especially when we cook fish or other foods with a strong smell. Fortunately, there are quick and inexpensive methods that we  can use to eliminate bad smells from the sink drain in just a few seconds  .

Baking soda, hot water and vinegar  . Pour 150 grams of bicarbonate of soda down the sink drain, immediately after 250 ml of white vinegar. Let it sit for a few minutes and then pour in hot water. This is undoubtedly the fastest and most effective remedy.

Warm water and soap  . Fill the sink with hot water, pour in some dish soap and stir until it dissolves. Then remove the sink stopper and wait for it to empty. The soap dissolves the residue while the hot water removes it completely.

Baking soda, lemon juice and hot water  . Baking soda and lemon create a reaction that can eliminate bad smells in the sink. The process is identical to the previous one. Pour in the baking soda, then the lemon juice and finally the hot water.

coffee grounds  . Pour them directly down the drain, wait a few minutes, then open the faucet and let very little water drip out. Coffee is excellent at neutralizing odors.
