The trick to leaving the bathtub as clean as the first day

Cleaning the house always requires extra effort, especially when the different elements and appliances accumulate dirt and germs. Especially the tub which is often prone to black stains, bacteria and germs that develop over time. The cause: soap residue or products commonly used in the bathroom, limestone, hair that clogs the pipes, mold stains, etc. No wonder your bathtub sometimes looks gloomy!
Obviously, this can be problematic, even harmful to our health and hygiene, since we still spend a lot of time there. The bathtub is a temple of relaxation and well-being. It is also the place where we take care of ourselves, the place where we frequently wash our bodies and hair. Therefore, sanitary hygiene is assumed to be impeccable to avoid possible skin attacks. The solution? Just a good cleaning. It is best to maintain it regularly to prevent dirt or limestone residue from becoming permanently embedded.

To prevent dirt from accumulating in the bathtub, there are obviously specific products on the market. But the latter have chemical components that can eventually attack and damage the bathtub coatings. We can never prove it enough, there is nothing better than using natural and ecological products.

To make your bathtub shine, here are some simple, effective and economical tips.

Will need:
Bleach
Lemon juice
White vinegar
Sodium bicarbonate
Ammonia
cleaning gloves
A brush, a cloth and a sponge.
baking soda and white vinegar
bowl of baking soda

Do you usually notice yellowish stains or rust in certain corners of your bathtub? It is an alarm bell to warn you of the lack of cleaning and the absence of ventilation. To eliminate these yellow stains and limescale, there is a very popular and very effective remedy: the mixture of baking soda and white vinegar. These two natural ingredients are, in fact, powerful cleaning agents. Descaler, deoxidizer, descaler, bleach… to maintain your bathtub, you can bet on this incredible duo!
Pour a large amount of baking soda throughout the bathtub. Then, using a spray bottle, spray white vinegar on the parts covered with baking soda. You will notice that the two products react by forming a white foam, which is completely normal! Leave it on for about 30 minutes. Then, using a sponge or soft-bristled brush, scrub the stained areas. Rinse the entire surface with cold water. Don’t forget to open the doors and windows so it can dry naturally. Now sparkling clean, your bathtub can finally breathe!

ammonia
The big problem with shower screens is not dirt, but rather the lime that accumulates over time. To identify limescale, you will notice white or opaque spots that do not go away. This includes the tiles, shower faucet, and bathtub as well.

To remove these lime stains, opt for ammonia. Also very popular for home maintenance, it is an excellent cleaner and disinfectant that will free you of all embedded stains and yellowed enamel.

Add 2 cups of ammonia and 2 cups of hot water to a spray bottle. Shake and spray on all parts that have lime. Then let the product sit for 5 to 10 minutes before rubbing with a cloth or sponge. Finally, rinse thoroughly with cold water. Make sure, again, that the window and door are open to eliminate the rather strong ammonia smell.

salt and white vinegar
shall

If your bathtub is full of lime , we recommend the precious mixture of white vinegar with salt. The fusion of both will be perfectly effective in clearing the flaky areas of the bathtub. Coarse salt is well known to our grandmothers as a cleaning, disinfectant and degreasing agent. Same refrain for lemon: this citrus has surprising benefits for brightening and descaling different areas of the house. Not to mention, it also eliminates moldy odors, letting a fresh and fragrant aroma escape into the room.

Pour two cups of white vinegar, one cup of hot water, and the lemon juice into a spray bottle. Also add 3 tablespoons of salt and mix the ingredients. This homemade cleaner will allow you to remove limescale permanently. Simply pour it into the tub and use a scrub brush.
For greater efficiency, rely on hydrogen peroxide, which is also powerful for cleaning and descaling. It will allow you to get rid of limestone and yellow stains in the bathtub. Simply spray it on and let it sit for 30 minutes and rinse with warm water. You won’t even need to rub to get a shiny result!

hydrochloric acid
To get rid of all the dirt, you can count on hydrochloric acid. This colorless aqueous liquid is known for descaling and disinfecting healthcare facilities. But be careful, as it is a corrosive product and has a very strong smell, it must be used very carefully. It is best not to apply it as a last resort if your bathtub is really very dirty. Don’t forget to dilute it in water before applying it, use gloves and a mask and, above all, ventilate the bathroom!

Preparation
Add 1 glass of cold water and 2 drops of hydrochloric acid to a plastic cup and stir well.

Apply the mixture with a brush or brush to the dirtiest areas of the bathtub and let it sit for a few minutes.
