How to clean your car naturally and leave it like new

Daily use of the car inevitably leads to the accumulation of dirt and stains inside the car. Seats and carpets are the most difficult areas to clean, but dirt reaches virtually every corner of the car. In this article we explain how   to clean your car naturally   , avoiding expensive and harmful industrial products.

For the exterior of the car, we recommend using a plant-based soap. The reason is not only because of the result in terms of cleanliness, but it is an environmental choice: the chemical-laden water and soap that ends up in the sewer pollute.

To   clean the interior   , especially leather or vinyl seats, we suggest using regular toothpaste. Try a small amount on the seat to see if it works.

If stains on vinyl or leather don’t come off with toothpaste, blot them with ethyl alcohol. Again, test a small part to check. Remember that the more alcohol you apply, the more likely the paint will come off the seat.

If the seats do not have particularly difficult to remove stains, mix two equal parts of vinegar and linseed oil and use the result to clean them. It is an excellent remedy to remove dirt.

To   clean the windows,   mix 250 ml of water with 125 ml of vinegar and 60 ml of alcohol. Pour into a bottle with a spray diffuser and use reusable cloth wipes to remove grime from the glass.

Baking soda is another great remedy for cleaning car interiors, neutralizing odors. Pour baking soda on the seats, let them sit for a few hours, and then remove them with a vacuum cleaner.

If the interior of the car is canvas, you have more than one option. The first thing is to mix two equal parts of vinegar and water, spray on the stain and remove with a damp cloth. You can also use a baking soda and water remedy.

To remove grease stains from carpets, pour in a little cornstarch, leave for 30 minutes and then remove with a vacuum cleaner.
