How to propagate Sansevieria: the simple and effective method

Sansevieria – also known as “mother-in-law’s tongue” – is a very  common houseplant  , with characteristic broad green leaves  .

It is precisely these  leaves  that allow  it to be propagated  effortlessly and with a procedure that can be easily reproduced even at home.

So let’s see how to do it.

  1. Using scissors, cut a Sanseveria leaf at the base.
  2. Then divide it into several pieces and mark each of them to form a triangle.
  3. Fill a vase with perlite, then insert the leaves cut side down into the soil.
  4. Give water.
  5. It will take more or less 45 days to have roots.
