The most effective tip to eliminate flies and perfume the entire kitchen

Despite a very short life cycle of around 28 days, flies can literally invade our homes, especially the kitchen, becoming very annoying and dangerous due to the bacteria and other microorganisms they can carry in our food.

The problem of flies inside the house is particularly evident during the warmer months, when high temperatures favor their proliferation.

There are dozens of fly and mosquito sprays available in supermarkets, yet they are all full of chemicals which, although they repel these annoying insects, are harmful to both our health and the environment.

The best-known and most effective remedy for keeping flies out of the house and scenting the kitchen is actually completely natural and can be prepared in just a few minutes.

It involves cutting a lemon in half and inserting a dozen cloves into the pulp. Put the remedy on the windowsill, balcony or near any other place frequented by flies.

The ideal is to add a new lemon every day, to make the most of its repellent properties.

Other remedies to keep flies away

Envelopes filled with water  . We will surely have noticed bags filled with water on the balconies or windows, and we wondered what they were used for. This remedy is an effective natural repellent against flies. The reason is simple: when the sun’s rays penetrate water, they generate a prism that steals hatred.

Apple cider vinegar  . To make a fly trap, cut a plastic bottle in half, pour vinegar into the bottom, then invert the top, like a funnel. Flies, attracted by the vinegar, will enter the bottle and get stuck there.

Aromatic plants  . The aroma of certain essential oils and plants such as lavender, mint, lemongrass, basil or eucalyptus have natural repellent properties. Simply sprinkle a little essential oil in different parts of the house, or put some seedlings, to keep flies away.
