In home cleaning tasks, the unwanted presence of mold is one of the most common problems. Dark spots form in damp corners of the house, compromising not only the overall appearance of the room but also the quality of the air. Fortunately, there are several solutions to removing mold stains, and one of them is probably on your furniture: hydrogen peroxide! Walls
Places subject to high humidity, such as walls, are prone to rapid mold growth. In this case, the use of hydrogen peroxide is possible, but requires great caution, reserved for white or very light walls. Dampen a microfiber cloth, pour a little hydrogen peroxide on it and rub the affected areas of the wall. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes and then scrub gently with a sponge or toothbrush to remove the mold. Rinse with clean water and dry well.
Shower
The shower is one of the rooms most conducive to mold formation. To effectively combat this problem, create a solution by mixing hydrogen peroxide with baking soda to form a thick paste. Spread the paste over the mold and let it sit for at least 30 to 40 minutes. Then scrub with a brush and rinse well. Hydrogen peroxide will not only kill mold, but will also help prevent it from coming back. It is also recommended to ventilate the bathroom several times a day, especially after a hot shower.
The washing machine
The washing machine is often affected by mold, which can grow in the drum, detergent drawer and door. To clean the washing machine of the slightest trace of mould, pour 500 ml of hydrogen peroxide into the detergent drawer and run an empty cycle at 80°C. To clean the drawer and door, pour a few drops of hydrogen peroxide on a non-abrasive sponge, rub the affected area and the mold will disappear quickly.
Clothing
For mildew on white clothing, hydrogen peroxide can be a gentle and safe solution. Add half a glass of hydrogen peroxide to your usual detergent and wash clothes normally. You can also fill a container with warm water, pour a glass of hydrogen peroxide into it and let the clothes soak for at least two hours. Then rinse the clothes, rub the affected area and say goodbye to dirt!
Grounds
Mold on floors is common in homes with high humidity and can be treated with a hydrogen peroxide solution. For concentrated stains, pre-treat by gently rubbing with a soft sponge soaked in product. Next, pour a capful of product into the bucket and wash the floor. If your home is very humid, repeat this method at least twice a week to keep the floors clean.
