There are several solutions that you can use against lime. All you need to do is mix water with some natural ingredients that work against it. Here are a few that will help you make your faucet look like new again:
- Citric acid : It is known to remove limescale, especially in the bathroom to clean the shower, but not only. Simply dissolve 150 g of citric acid in 1 liter of hot water. Then fill the bag with the solution and follow the procedure explained above.

These are some of the ingredients that can be used to remove limescale, but be careful, some are aggressive and it is better to test them first in a hidden place.
Some of these ingredients can damage the surface of your sink if it is made of marble or stone . For example, you should not use vinegar or lemon if you have a marble surface, as they are corrosive and you risk damaging it irreparably.
Even if you have a stone surface, you should absolutely avoid lemon and vinegar.
