Mix honey and baking soda, you will find out why later: very valuable if used like that

Two ingredients commonly used in cooking: honey and bicarbonate, together they form a force. Let’s see why and what they are used for.

Honey  is known for its beneficial properties  when consumed. Bicarbonate, for its part, is used not only for preparations but also for its cleaning power.

Honey and baking soda: how to use them

Honey and baking soda are two  very useful ingredients in cooking  . Honey is known for its many properties. Useful for adults and children to relieve sore throats and coughs, it lends itself to various sweet preparations but also, and above all, to being consumed as is. There are many varieties of honey. The most used is certainly the thousand-flowered variety.

Baking soda, on the other hand, is very useful in promoting digestion. In addition, it can be used in certain preparations instead of yeast. Among its most popular uses, there are especially those related to  housekeeping  . In this case, in fact, bicarbonate has perfect degreasing, deodorizing and absorbing power. An example? Just sprinkle the inside of smelly sneakers, leave it on overnight, brush it out and you will have fragrant, dry shoes.

Today, however, we’re about to reveal a  use of these two surprising ingredients together. A use that will probably leave you perplexed since baking soda and honey, combined together, must be mixed and applied to the skin. Let’s see how to do it and why to do it.

The unexpected use

The ingredients you will need will be honey and baking soda in the following quantities:

  • 2 tablespoons of baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon of honey (preferably organic)
  • lemon drops

Let’s mix the ingredients in a container, so as to obtain a homogeneous paste. In order to obtain a more homogeneous mixture, you can use the bain-marie technique which would make the honey more fluid and easier to combine. The time needed to  mix everything  can vary between 8 and 10 minutes.

Lemon drops can be added to the resulting mixture. What to do with this dough? Apply it on the face. The goal is to  fight against acne  and blackheads. A mask thus obtained must be applied to the face twice a week, for 15/20 minutes then rinsed with plenty of water.

All the dead cells  responsible for the production of acne will be eliminated from the surface layer of the facial skin which will be treated with honey and baking soda.

If we are going to  massage the mixture onto the skin  , before rinsing it, after keeping it in place for the necessary time, we can carry out a light exfoliation on the skin which will make it brighter. To seal the pores and hydrate the skin, after washing the face it will be best to use a specific moisturizer for the face. Seeing is believing.
