This will prevent your laundry from smelling like sweat even after washing

In the summer, concerns about your body odor increase. This doesn’t mean that there aren’t bad smells the rest of the year, but in the summer you sweat more and therefore the chances of smelling bad increase.

The bad smell of sweat in the armpits is actually not caused by sweat, but by the Staphylococcus himinis bacteria that live in the armpits (a moist, warm and dark place perfect for their reproduction).

Sometimes a shower is enough to eliminate the bad smell under the armpits , but one wash cycle is not enough to remove it from the laundry . It happens that the smell of sweat is still present, perhaps masked somewhat by the fabric softener.

This most often happens with synthetic sportswear, which is made from “hydrophobic” fabrics that absorb body oils but not water. This creates a perfect environment for bacteria to multiply and ensures that the bad smell lasts longer.

To remove the bad smell of sweat from clothes, the first rule is to separate them from the rest of the laundry. Then use one of these very simple methods.

Aspririn and cream of tartar . Mix three white aspirins with 250 ml of hot water and a spoonful of cream of tartar. Scrub the underarm area with a toothbrush and allow the garment to soak for 20 minutes. Finally, wash it normally.

Sodium bicarbonate . Mix baking soda and warm water into a creamy paste and apply directly to the smelly area. Leave on for 15 minutes, then wash the garment as usual.

Salt . Dissolve several tablespoons of table salt in a bucket of warm water and soak your head in it for half an hour before washing as usual.

Vinegar . Fill the washing machine drum and then add 100 ml of vinegar. Let your laundry soak in it for 15 minutes and then wash as usual. You can also use vinegar instead of fabric softener.
