The bathroom is one of the areas in the house that usually takes the longest to clean, especially if limescale, mold and hardened soap have settled on some surfaces. If you can’t remove these types of stains with classic industrial cleaners and want to avoid using bleach, try using one of the following white vinegar tricks.
You will surely have noticed that the bathroom gets dirty faster due to the daily accumulation of large amounts of germs and bacteria. Even daily use of soap and abundant humidity can lead to the formation of stains, including mold, giving the bathroom a shabby look.
Gut bacteria are microorganisms that can jump onto any surface in the bathroom, from tiles to doors, from handles to faucets, from toothbrushes to towels. However, the largest amount accumulates in the toilet and should therefore be cleaned daily.
White vinegar for cleaning the toilet
If you want to remove brown stains and limescale stains from your toilet and make sure you get rid of all the bacteria, simply spray a little white vinegar over the entire surface.
Leave it on for 20-30 minutes, then scrub thoroughly with a toothbrush or sponge and rinse. Finally, flush the toilet. White vinegar not only has a disinfectant effect, but is also very effective against brown stains.
Clean the tiles with white vinegar
Over time, bathroom tiles tend to become dull due to the buildup of soap scum and fungi. Restoring the original shine is as easy as it is economical: white wine vinegar is enough.
Mix 250 ml of white vinegar with 150 ml of water and pour it into a spray bottle. Spray the solution over the entire surface of the tiles and scrub thoroughly with a sponge after 15 minutes.
Finally, rinse with plenty of water and, if possible, dry with a clean cloth.
White vinegar for cleaning shower glass
Soap residue and mold also form on shower glass, but limescale spots also form in the water.
To remove all those stains and make the glass shine, mix 2 tablespoons of sodium bicarbonate with 2 tablespoons of white vinegar and 250 ml of water.
Pour all ingredients into a bottle with a spray diffuser and rub with a sponge after 15 minutes. Rinse and dry with a clean cloth.
Disinfect and clean the faucet with white vinegar
Faucets and sinks are subject to the accumulation of germs and bacteria, some of which are invisible and others that appear in the form of stains.
Pour a tablespoon of baking soda onto a sponge and use it to give the faucet and the entire sink a good scrub. You will notice that a lot of the dirt will come off.
Rinse the sink and faucet, then mix 70 ml of white vinegar with the juice of one lemon and use this solution to clean all surfaces again, this time with paper towels. Finally, rinse with plenty of water and dry thoroughly.
