Very clean and very shiny marble with simple natural ingredients

Marble is a widely used material in our homes, for example in the kitchen   ,   bathroom or for floors. Although it is beautiful and also very elegant, it is important to protect marble well and cleaning it with the right ingredients is essential to preserve its appearance.

Using chemicals to clean marble is very dangerous: in addition to the risk of using the wrong product and permanently damaging the marble, there is a risk of it losing its shine or even changing color. Below we list some natural and non-aggressive methods to   clean and polish marble   .

How to clean travertine marble   . This type of marble used in floors or bathrooms requires special treatments. It tends to have wet spots that appear from mold or soap scum, which eventually seep into the surface.

To keep marble clean and shiny, use a soft-bristled brush to remove soap and mold scum. Dampen the brush with warm water and lightly rub the marble. Then clean with a damp cloth with warm water and neutral soap. It dries well.

Clean white marble   . It is generally used in the kitchen, so it tends to stain easily. To clean white marble, rub half a lemon on the stain and let it sit for a few seconds. Then clean with water and vinegar. The treatment may need to be repeated several times. Clean with a dry cloth.

Special care for marble   . Wipe marble surfaces frequently with a damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. You can use a mild soap to clean it even more thoroughly.

Wait a few minutes and then dry with a clean cloth. Don’t wait any longer because the soap can stain the marble and cause a bigger stain.

Polish the marble   . Mix baking soda with a small amount of water to create a creamy solution. Spread on the marble and leave for about 30 minutes before removing with a damp cloth and a little warm water.

There is also another technique to polish marble that consists of using hydrogen peroxide. Mix half a glass of hydrogen peroxide with 5 glasses of water and use the solution to clean the entire surface of the marble.

Clean and polish a marble floor   . After dusting the floor, wash it with a solution of water, baking soda, alcohol, and a little liquid detergent.
